Courses

CapriglioneThe educational activities are addressed mainly to students in Electronic Engineering and in Information Engineering, even though some courses also addressed to students in Chemical and Mechanical Engineering. The topics given in the core curriculum courses for the different degree programs cover the basics of the treatment and assessment of measured data, measurement methods and circuits for all the main electrical quantities and for analog and digital instruments, static and dynamic characterization of sensors, transducers, and data acquisition systems, automated measurements, signal processing in the time domain and in the frequency domain. In optional courses specialized topics are treated, derived from research and application experiences of the members of the group, such as measurements based on machine vision systems, real-time measurements, virtual instrumentation and measurement systems for industrial automation, programming of microcontrollers and digital signal processors for measurement applications.
